WHO WE NEED
We need kids and adults for a photo + video shoot for Slumberkins.
We’re looking for:
Trans and/or Non-Binary Kids, age 5-10 kids with unique gender expressions and/or identities
Disabled Kids ages 5-10 kids with any kinds of disabilities (physical, developmental, intellectual, etc)
Deaf or Hard of Heading kids, ages 5-10 all genders
Queer Parents + Kid(s) Under 6 all genders
Parent + Kid Pairs all genders, kids age 5-10. Larger groups are welcome to apply.
Grandparent + Kid pairs All genders, kids age 5-10, grandparents any age. Larger groups are welcome to apply.
Kids age 5-10 all genders
Toddlers age 2-4 all genders
No professional acting/modeling experience is needed to apply. You should feel comfortable on camera and be good at taking direction. Some roles involve very simple dialogue. Some roles involve kids snuggling with an adult actor, talent who apply should be comfortable with close contact.
If you have a talent agent, your agent will submit you for this project, and you will receive an audition notice if selected. Please do not apply through this post.

PROJECT INFORMATION
ADVERTISER: Slumberkins. The video is an ad for products that promote early emotional learning. Kids will be shown practicing self-love and affirmations in a variety of affirming settings.
TYPE: Stills + Video
UNION STATUS: Non-union
SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, OR
We are only considering Oregon/Washington based talent only. Lodging/mileage reimbursement is available as needed. We will not hire talent who would need to fly in for the shoot.
SHOOT DATES: Fri 5/20, Sat 5/21 and Sun 5/22 (you will work 1.5 days, TBD)
Please do not apply if you have immovable conflicts and could not attend all project dates. Please do not request work off or clear your schedule unless requested to do so via email (we will give you as much notice as possible).
PAY IF HIRED:
ADULT PRINCIPALS: $2750 for one day of work. Additional $500 if needed for second shoot day
KID PRINCIPALS: $2000 for 1.5 days of work
Extras (Kids only): $350/day you will only be hired for extras roles if you are interested.
Additional pay is available if the advertiser decides to extend the usage terms (not guaranteed)
Adults: Additional $2000-$13,500 depending on terms
Kids: Additional $1500-$10,000 depending on terms.
Talent agents: +20% available on all listed rates.
USAGE TERMS: Pay includes your hours worked and the use of your image by the advertiser, as follows:
LENGTH: 2 years from date of first use for video + stills usage. Archival client-owned channels (website, youtube, and social) in perpetuity.
MARKET: Worldwide
STILLS USAGE: Website, paid social, PR, Education, Collateral, Trade Show.
VIDEO USAGE: Slumberkins website, connected TV, Paid YouTube, Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), Education, Collateral, + Trade Show. Includes all cut-downs and lifts.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS: You must live in Oregon or Washington to apply. Talent age 18+ must be fully vaccinated (pending medical/religious exemptions) to be hired. Kids must disclose vaccination status.
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS: The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks. Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19 given the information below. Please note these policies are determined by the production company, who is the official employer.
All crew members are fully vaccinated. Talent age 18+ must be fully vaccinated (pending medical/religious exemptions) to be hired. Kids must disclose vaccination status.
Note that as on-camera talent, you will sometimes be required to remove your mask, for active photography and makeup application. You may be in a group scene.
HOW TO APPLY
You will need the following materials (cell phone shots are fine).
INDIVIDUALS (Kids)
If kids have parent(s) or grandparent(s) willing to participate in the shoot, please apply as a group! We will automatically consider kids as individuals as well.
(1) Headshot This does not have to be a professional photo. Any recent, nice quality photo. No hats, sunglasses, or filters. Color Photo.
(1) Selfie (from today) showing your current hairstyle. Minimal makeup (if any), hair down. No hats, sunglasses, or filters. Color Photo.
(1) Full Body Photo Recent photo showing your body type.
(2-5) Additional Photos Photos from your acting/modeling portfolio or casual snapshots showing your style/personality.
GROUPS (Adult + Kid combinations)
(3) Group Photos: Recent photo of all group members where we can see your faces clearly!
(1) Individual photo for each group member applying

Late submissions accepted on a rolling basis.
If you have a talent agent, it is mandatory to list your agency on your application.

Non-Disclosure Agreement: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
