WHO WE NEED
We need Oregon and Washington based outdoor enthusiasts for a photoshoot for Merrell. We’re looking for people who enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and/or trail running in the Pacific Northwest.
You don’t need to be an expert in these sports to apply! We’re looking for all skill levels, including folks who are just starting to integrate the outdoors into their life. We’re also looking for hiking families who bring their children under 5 along for outdoor adventures!
We’re especially interested in representing BIPOC, LGBTQ+, plus-sized, and/or alter-abled people in this shoot. We’ll be casting a wide range of folks from many intersections of identity. Everyone is welcome.
You don’t need any professional modeling experience to apply. You should be 18+ and willing to appear on-camera in a commercial photoshoot.

PROJECT INFORMATION
TITLE: Merrell Moab
TYPE: Commercial Photoshoot

SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, Oregon area. We are only considering talent who live in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington) full time.
SHOOT DATES: You’d be needed for one weekday Sept 14-30. Exact dates are TBD.
Please do not apply if you will be completely unavailable for the majority of these dates.You should be flexible enough to clear an entire day with just a few days’ notice.
PAY IF HIRED: $1,000/day for one day of work, up to 10 hours.
Pay includes your hours worked and the usage of your image by the advertiser.
*Plus 20% agency commission if you are represented by a registered talent agent. Please be sure to list your agent in your application.
TRAVEL TERMS: For talent based more than 100 miles from Portland, production will provide one night of lodging, plus mileage reimbursement (up to $175). Oregon and Washington based talent only. No flight reimbursement available.
USAGE: 2 years global unlimited
UNION STATUS: Non-Union
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS:
Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19. It is your choice whether to apply for this project based on your individual risk factors. If you are not comfortable working during this time, your consideration for future projects will not be affected.
The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks for this project.
Free COVID testing is available prior to the shoot if hired.
If you are selected for this project, we will share a comprehensive list of COVID19 protocols that outline the social distancing and other safety precautions that will be taken on-set to ensure the lowest risks for all cast + crew. You will have time to review the protocols before accepting the gig.
Note that as models, you will sometimes be asked to remove your mask. For example, while actively appearing in front of the camera (with social distance from crew members) and while having hair/makeup done (with maximum safety measures in place.) You may need to stand in close proximity to 1-2 other models for some shots.
For this shoot, all locations will be outdoors.
CASTING PROCESS

You will be asked to upload photos and answer some questions about your outdoors experience. Please gather the following photos in advance (cell phone shots are fine).
Recent color photos of your face and full body (professional headshots not required)
Photos of you in the outdoors (hiking, trail running, rock climbing)
Photos of the people you hike with (if they would be interested in working with you)
Photos that show your city style and personality.
Please upload as many photos as possible! The more photos, the better your chances of being hired!
