CASTING CALL: BIPOC Couples

WHO WE NEED
We need real couples for a photoshoot for Fracture. We’re looking for couples with at least one partner who identifies as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color). Couples of all genders and sexualities encouraged to apply! Must be 18+ live in Oregon or Washington.
People of all identities (races, sizes, abilities, genders, sexualities, religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, and more) are welcome and encouraged to apply. We are committed to representing authentic diversity across all projects. We’re especially interested in representing LGBTQ+ couples in this shoot.
You don’t need any professional modeling experience to apply, but you should be comfortable on camera and good at taking direction.
PROJECT INFORMATION
TYPE: Commercial Photoshoot
ADVERTISER: Fracture, a high-quality photo printing service.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Leah Veraway
SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, Oregon area. We are only considering talent who live in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington) for this project.
SHOOT DATES: Thursday 9/24 or Fri 9/25, exact date TBD
Both partners should be able to clear their schedules for an entire day and evening with no conflicts. Please do not apply if you will be unavailable for these dates.
PAY IF HIRED: $1,500 per couple for one day of work, up to 10 hours.
Pay includes your hours worked and the usage of your image by the advertiser.
*Plus 20% agency commission if you are represented by a registered talent agent. Please be sure to list your agent in your application.
TRAVEL TERMS: For couples based more than 100 miles from Portland, production will provide mileage reimbursement (up to $175). Oregon and Washington based talent only. No lodging or flight reimbursement available.
USAGE: Social + collateral, worldwide, 2 years.
UNION STATUS: Non-Union
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS:
Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19. It is your choice whether to apply for this project based on your individual risk factors. If you are not comfortable working during this time, your consideration for future projects will not be affected.
The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks for this project.
Free COVID testing is available prior to the shoot if hired.
If you are selected for this project, we will share a comprehensive list of COVID19 protocols that outline the social distancing and other safety precautions that will be taken on-set to ensure the lowest risks for all cast + crew. You will have time to review the protocols before accepting the gig.
Note that as models, you will sometimes be asked to remove your mask. For example, while actively appearing in front of the camera (with social distance from crew members) and while having hair/makeup done (with maximum safety measures in place.) You may need to stand in close proximity to 1-2 other models for some shots.
CASTING PROCESS

You will be asked to upload recent photos and answer some questions about you and your partner. Please upload as many photos as possible! The more photos, the better your chances of being hired!
DEADLINE TO APPLY: Please apply ASAP, by 10pm Mon 9/14 at the latest. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and earlier applications take priority.

If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with next steps. There will be a zoom callback where we’ll ask you a bit more about yourselves. If hired, you’ll be asked to provide some real photos to be printed + used in the shoot. You can keep the prints afterwards!
