WHO WE NEED
We need people who have non-traditional income sources.
This includes creatives, freelancers, small biz owners, and other gig workers. Full-time work and side hustles are both eligible.
Some examples include (but are not limited to):
Artists/Crafters/Makers

Workers on Taskrabbit, Fiverr, and similar platforms
Musicians
Small Business Owners
Photographers/Videographers
Personal/Executive Assistants
We're open to meeting all types of people outside the 9-to-5 life. If you do any work you don't get a regular paycheck for, we want to meet you! This should be something in addition to acting/modeling, as we are not showcasing those types of gigs for this particular shoot.
You must be 16+, live in Oregon or Washington and either be fully vaccinated (or willing to take a PCR test). Unrepresented talent only. If you have a talent agent you must be submitted directly by your agency, do not submit through this casting call.
No professional acting/modeling experience is needed to apply. You should feel comfortable on camera and be good at taking direction.

PROJECT INFORMATION
ADVERTISER: HP
TYPE: Commercial photoshoot (print only)
UNION STATUS: Non-union (SAG talent welcome to submit)
SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, OR area.
We are only considering talent who live in Oregon or Washington. We will not hire talent who would need to fly in for the shoot. You must have a workspace available for the shoot within 1 hour of Portland, OR.
PROJECT DATES: In order to apply, you must be generally available for all dates listed. Partial conflicts are okay but do not apply if you will be out of town, etc. for any dates.
LOCATION SCOUT: Fri 5/13-Tue 5/17 (2 hours, TBD). A visit to your workspace (scheduling is flexible)
TECH SCOUT: Wed 5/25 (2-4 hours, TBD). A second visit to your workspace
FITTING DATE: Thu 5/26 (2 hours, TBD)
SHOOT DATES: Wed 6/1-Sat 6/4 (up to 10 hours, date TBD)You should be able to make yourself available for any of these dates as needed.
Please do not apply if you have immovable conflicts and could not attend all project dates. Please do not request work off or clear your schedule unless requested to do so via email (we will give you as much notice as possible).
PAY IF HIRED:
$4150 total, includes all of the hours listed above (10-hour shoot, 2 scouts, 1 fitting), plus the use of your image by the advertiser.
LOCATION FEE: $1500 (paid to the owner of the building) for the use of your workspace as a location, if applicable.
OPTION for an additional $2500-6500 total, if the client decides to extend the usage terms (not guaranteed).
Pay includes your hours worked and the usage of your image by the advertiser.
USAGE: Paid placement digital, web, and below the line, in perpetuity. Options for above-the-line usage for additional pay (not guaranteed).
HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must live in Oregon or Washington. Must be 16+ and legally eligible to work in the US. Unrepresented talent only - if you have a talent agent you must be submitted directly by your agency, do not submit through this casting call.
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS: The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks. Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19 given the information below. Please note these policies are determined by the production company, who is the official employer.
All crew members are fully vaccinated. Vaccination is not mandatory for talent. Unvaccinated talent must present a negative PCR test result before the shoot.
Note that as on-camera talent, you will sometimes be required to remove your mask, for active photography and makeup application. You may be in a group scene.
HOW TO APPLY
You will need the following materials (cell phone shots are fine).
(1) Headshot This does not have to be a professional photo. Any recent, nice quality photo. No hats, sunglasses, or filters. Color Photo.
(1) Selfie (from today) showing your current hairstyle. Minimal makeup (if any), hair down. No hats, sunglasses, or filters. Color Photo.
(3) Photos of you that illustrate your gig work. Action shots, portraits of you in your office/studio, etc). Give us a visual idea of you doing your thing.
(1) Full Body Photo Recent photo showing your body type.
(3) Workspace Photos showing any locations that would be available for the shoot.
(1-2) Photos of your productions/services (optional)

If you have a talent agent, it is mandatory to list your agency on your application.
