WHO WE NEED
We’re casting cyclists for a photo + video shoot for Specialized Bicycles. We need serious cyclists age 18+ who ride regularly and have great form.
You should have experience with at least one of the following:
Commuting (3+ days/week)
Racing (past or present)
Endurance Riding
Mountain Biking / Off-Road Biking
Cycling Clubs
You don’t need any professional acting/modeling experience to apply, but you should be comfortable on camera and good at taking direction.
KIDS: We’re also open to kids age 10-14 for these roles. If you know any kids who love to ride bikes, feel free to encourage them to apply! We don’t need any younger kids or teens for this, but we encourage kids to sign up for general consideration.
TO APPLY: You will need to submit a self-taped audition. Please review the self-tape instructions page and begin recording your materials ASAP! It will take you some time to prepare the materials, so please don’t wait until the last minute!

PROJECT INFORMATION
ADVERTISER: Specialized Bicycles
TYPE: Stills + Video
UNION STATUS: Non-Union
SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, Oregon area. Must live in Oregon or Washington to apply.
FITTING DATES: In order to be hired, you must attend a mandatory in-person wardrobe fitting in Portland OR before the shoot, most likely 1 day between Feb 18-23 (TBD).
Hiring will be contingent upon the results of the fitting, and is not guaranteed. If asked to attend the fitting, you will be paid $50 (for up to 2 hours work), regardless of the result.
SHOOT DATES: March 3rd-11th . You’d work 1-7 days during this range and must be flexible to work as scheduled.
Must be available to completely clear your schedule for any of these dates if hired. If you have any immovable schedule conflicts on the shoot dates, do not apply.
PAY IF HIRED: Total pay will depend on your days worked, and includes:
ADULTS
$500/day for your hours worked (1-7 days total)
$500/day for the use of your image by the advertiser (1-7 days total)
One-time payments
$50 for the wardrobe fitting (1-2 hours)
$500 exclusivity. If hired, you must sign a non-compete agreement stating you will not work as an actor/model for another bicycle company for 1.5 years
KIDS
$100/hour your hours worked (1 day)
$200 for the use of your image by the advertiser (1 day)
One-time payments
$50 for the wardrobe fitting (1-2 hours)
$250 exclusivity. If hired, you must sign a non-compete agreement stating you will not work as an actor/model for another bicycle company for 1.5 years
If you are represented by a registered talent agent, an additional 20% is available for their commission on all listed rates. You must disclose your agency on your submission form if you are represented.
TRAVEL: None. You must work as a local to Portland, OR (no mileage/lodging available). You are welcome to apply if you live outside Portland, but must be willing to attend both the fitting and shoot at your own travel expense. Must currently reside in Oregon or Washington. We will not hire talent who would need to fly in for the shoot.
USAGE: Unlimited (i.) Worldwide Internet/Digital: including; but not limited to, paid and organic advertising, social media channels, banners, websites and the use of the commercial on a mobile device. (ii.) Worldwide Industrial usage: including but not limited to meetings, conferences, and PR. NO Broadcast.
18 months from first advertiser sanctioned airing used for ecomm and tradeshow/internal. It is also understood that Advertiser is granted archival rights on social media channels.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18+ and be legally eligible to work in the US.

CASTING PROCESS
To apply for this project, you will need to submit a self-taped audition. We are accepting self-tapes on a rolling basis until otherwise noted.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
