WHO WE NEED
We need dancers for a photo + video shoot for Nike.
We’re looking for advanced dancers who can learn a mix of contemporary/modern and popping and/or KPOP/JPOP choreography.
We need:
Kid dancers age 9-12 (all genders + ethnicities)
Adult dancers age 18-28 (all genders + ethnicities)
We’re also looking for women age 45+ who are intermediate/advanced in yoga for this project. Please see the yoga casting call for more details.
We’re open to all identities but we’re especially interested in dancers who identify as:

You must live in Oregon, California, or Washington to apply. Talent age 12+ must be fully vaccinated (unless you have a medical/religious exemption) to be hired.
No professional acting/modeling experience is needed to apply, dance skills are the most important factor. You should feel comfortable on camera and be good at taking direction.

PROJECT INFORMATION
ADVERTISER: Nike
TYPE: Commercial video + photo shoot
UNION STATUS: Non-Union

SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, Oregon area. We are only considering dancers based on the West Coast (Oregon, Washington, and California). All applicable travel costs (flight/hotel/transportation) will be covered by the production company.
WORK DATES:
Zoom Rehearsal: Fri 9/24 (4 hours, time TBD)
Wardrobe Fitting: Sun 9/26 (2 hours, in Portland. Nonlocal talent not required to attend).
Studio Rehearsal: Mon 9/27 (10 hours) in Portland
Shoot: 2 days, Tue 9/28 + Wed 9/29 (10 hours) in Portland
Please do not apply if you have any immovable conflicts on the dates listed. Your schedule should be flexible enough to work any dates during this range as needed. Please do not request work off or clear your schedule unless requested to do so via email (we will give you as much notice as possible).
PAY IF HIRED (UNREPRESENTED TALENT):
Adults: $4,000 total, which includes:
(1 x) ZOOM REHEARSAL: $250 (4 hours)
(1x )WARDROBE FITTING: $150 (2 hours)
(1 x) STUDIO REHEARSAL: $600 (10 hours)
(2 x) SHOOT DAYS $1500/day (10 hours)
Kids: $2,800 total, which includes
(1x )ZOOM REHEARSAL: $200 (4 hours)
(1x) FITTING: $100 (2 hours)
(1x) STUDIO REHEARSAL: $500 (10 hours)
(2x) SHOOT: $1000/day+ (10 hours)
Pay includes your hours worked and the usage of your image by the advertiser.
REPRESENTED TALENT RATES: Day rates are higher for represented talent (see casting networks or casting frontier for confirmed rates). 20% agency fee available on all rates.
USAGE: 2 years worldwide BTL usage (including retail + paid social). Option for additional pay for 6-month ATL usage.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must be legally eligible to work in the US. Must comply with all COVID19 protocols. Talent age 12+ must be fully vaccinated (unless you have a medical/religious exemption).
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS: The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks. Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19 given the information below.
Production will follow all CDC and OMPA guidelines
All cast + crew will be tested for COVID19 before the shoot (at no cost to you). Hiring is contingent upon negative test results.
Note that as on-camera talent, you will sometimes be asked to remove your mask, for active photography and makeup application. You may be in a group scene with up to 1 other model
HOW TO APPLY
To audition for this project you will need the following materials. These can be cell phone photos/videos.
REQUIRED
Headshot: does not have to be a professional photo. Recent nice quality photo. No hats/sunglasses/filters.
Slate Video: Landscape/Horizontal (Waist Up): State your name, agency (or “no agency”) and city.
Freestyle Video. Please record a new video following these instructions:
Please choose your own song and record a freestyle. Please show a dramatic change in your energy and personality for each set. It should feel like you’re becoming a different person altogether.
Wardrobe should be movement clothes that show some personal flare (no hats/glasses).
ADULTS: (4) sets of (2) 8 counts (64 counts total), in the following order:
Fluid, graceful movement | 2 x 8 counts
Hard-hitting popping and locking (and/or kpop/jpop moves) | 2 x 8 counts
Contemporary/modern (2 x 8-counts) | 2 x 8 counts
Dance style of your choice (show off your skills!) | 2 x 8 counts
KIDS: (2) sets of (2) 8 counts (32 counts total) , in the following order:
Graceful, fluid movements. Ballet/contemporary/modern | 2 x 8 counts
Big, energetic movements. Hip-hop/popping | 2 x 8 counts
Choreo Sample Video: existing videos of you doing choreo (not improv). Any dance style. Doesn’t have to be professional footage, can be home practice videos or from Instagram. You’ll need at least one as a video file (not a link).
OPTIONAL (encouraged if available)
Dance Photos: Any stills of you dancing, especially professional photos.
Soccer photo/video: If you also play soccer, please send a photo/video showing off those skill. Soccer skils are not required to be hired, but if you play please include these materials as it will increase your chances of being hired.
