FILM SUMMARY
ROSE comes up with the perfect plan to break through the sexual confines of her 25 year marriage; she’ll bring her younger best friend, JULIA, into the fold of her relationship with her traditional husband, TOM. ROSE hopes it this will give her the freedom to get her own desires met outside the marriage in the future. However, when deeper attachments form between all three, ROSE finds herself out of control and threatening their bonds of friendship, marriage and her own sense of belongingness
A Note on Intimacy
Please note that this film contains R-rated sexual elements that are essential for the character-driven narrative. The filmmakers are committed to taking the utmost care to ensure the empowerment, consent, and comfort of all talent throughout the filmmaking process.
Al talent called to auditions will receive the full script, synopsis, and director’s statement indicating the role of the erotic elements in the story. Before shooting, we will execute a Nudity Rider which outlines the specific technical execution of these elements, and the limitations on usage of the footage. There will be an intimacy coordinator on set to advocate for talent interests, and cast members will be involved in reviewing & approving final footage before release.
Please see below a selection from the Director’s Statement on why the sexual elements are necessary to the narrative:
“Sexual interactions are one of the most vulnerable ways we reveals our inner life. How ROSE, JULIA and TOM each interact sexually with one another reveals something about who they are on the inside in a very short amount of time.. What’s most important isn’t “the sexual acts” themselves, which will be edited to very brief moments, but rather the commitment to “being” in ones body as the characters move towards vulnerable, sensual moments. This story is about the truth of what it means to be exposed, to give and receive pleasure to some degree. The goal is to revel in what that really means; it’s scary, awkward and beautiful all at the same time.”

ROSE - LEAD

ROSE has a dominant, fun loving personality. She wears the pants in her marriage. Although she's personally conflicted about her aging face/body, she is attractive and fit. Normally more traditional, she’s trying to break out of her comfort zone and try new things.
JULIA - LEAD
Female
21-32
Any Ethnicity
Youthful, pretty, and a little unsure of herself. A beginner yoga student, she'll probably be grounded and centered a little later in life, but for now she's nervous to try new things and gets caught up in drama a little too quickly.
TOM - LEAD
Male
35-59
Any Ethnicity
Tom is a dedicated, caring husband, and a relentless optimist. He sometimes gets a bit steamrolled by his dominant wife, but he is otherwise a solid father-figure and a role model in his community. Athletic but not overly bulky, TOM isn't exactly model-handsome but his earnest personality and easy charm more than makes up for it.
