WHO WE NEED
We’re casting a wide variety of Portland locals for a photoshoot for Allstate. Allstate is hoping to capture portraits of everyday people going about their daily lives in Portland. We’re looking for:
Individuals 16+ across all identities, including:
BIPOC, seniors, queer people, pet parents, people who work from home, teenagers with their driver’s license, motorcycle riders, vanlife/RV travelers, and more!
Quarantine Pods
Friend Groups, Roommates, and Couples.
Folks who share a ‘quarantine bubble’ who’d be comfortable posing in close proximity
Families with Kid(s) under 18
All genders/sexualities of parent(s), single parents, multigenerational families, families with teens, families with babies/toddlers, and more!
People of all identities (races, sizes, abilities, genders, sexualities, religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, and more) are welcome and encouraged to apply. We are committed to representing authentic diversity across all projects.
You don’t need any professional modeling experience to apply, but you should be comfortable on camera and good at taking direction. We are only casting people who do not have a talent agent for this project.
PROJECT INFORMATION
TYPE: Commercial Photoshoot
ADVERTISER: Allstate Insurance
PHOTOGRAPHER: Charles Gullung (listed for reference only. Do not contact the photographer directly).
SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, Oregon area. We are only considering talent who live within 30 miles of Portland, OR. No travel/lodging/mileage available.
SHOOT DATES: 1 day between Oct 19th-31st. Plus a 90-minute scout the week of Oct 12.
The dates can be somewhat flexible to accommodate your availability. However, please do not apply if you are generally unavailable or have large blackout period during this timeframe.
PAY IF HIRED:
ADULTS: $1,000 each
KIDS: $350 each
Includes 1 day of shooting (up to 10 hours), and a 90-minute scout before the shoot.
Additional pay if your home or vehicle is used in the shoot:
LOCATIONs: $350 (plus cleaning services for COVID as needed)
VEHICLES: $150/vehicle
All pay includes your hours worked and the use of your image by the advertiser. If you have tattoos, you must seek permission from your artist(s) for their work to be photographed.
USAGE: Unlimited time, Unlimited use/Media, Worldwide. Exclusive rights for Allstate use and includes exclusivity within the insurance industry including auto insurance and financial services but is excluding banking and credit card categories. Includes rights to modify/manipulate and create derivative works.
CONFLICTS: You cannot be hired for this project if you have worked for other insurance or financial services companies in the past 6 months.
UNION STATUS: Non-Union
COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS: Please only apply if you would feel safe working during COVID19. It is your choice whether to apply for this project based on your individual risk factors. If you are not comfortable working during this time, your consideration for future projects will not be affected.
The casting process will be 100% remote. There will be no in-person auditions or callbacks for this project.
For this project, the crew will be very small (photographer and 1-2 assistants). Only the photographer will enter the shooting location, and will wear a mask at all times. Talent will do their own hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling to limit contact.
Talent will only be asked to remove masks while being photographed, with 6 feet of distance maintained from photographer. Talent may be asked to stand in close proximity (closer than 6 feet) to other models. For this reason, we are making a dedicated effort to cast people already quarantined together or sharing close contact, and will not cast groups without express consent of all members to be unmasked in close proximity.
If you are selected for this project, we will share a comprehensive list of COVID-19 protocols that outline the social distancing and other safety precautions that will be taken on-set to ensure the lowest risks for all cast + crew. You will have time to review the protocols before accepting the gig.
CASTING PROCESS

MATERIALS NEEDED: You’ll be asked to upload recent photos of yourself/your group, along with photos of any quarantine buddies, homes, vehicle(s), and pets that are available for the shoot. We recommend reviewing the application form and gathering your photos in advance.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: For priority consideration, please apply by 10pm Tues 10/6. Late applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through Mon 10/12.
