Selftape Instructions: Petrol Industries

SHOOT DATES: Tue 3/25-Wed 4/2 (1-2 days, TBD)

Please do not submit if you are not available on all of the shoot dates listed.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please prepare the following for your audition:

  • Headshot Color photo, no filters. No hats/sunglasses. This does not have to be a professional headshot.

  • Video: Intro Standing, waist up, 1-2 minutes.

    • Wardrobe: Please wear jeans + a flannel (or other outdoor shirt) in the video. Facial hair should be neatly trimmed (scruff or 5’o clock shadow welcome if you don’t currently have a beard). Long hair pulled back. No hats, no glasses.

    • Please look directly at the camera and answer the following questions:

      • What kinds of outdoor activities do you enjoy (hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, chopping wood, etc.)? Please tell us a quick story of a recent outdoor experience you’ve enjoyed.

  • (3-5) Photos From your acting/modeling portfolio, especially wearing outdoor apparel. If you don’t have professional photos of you available, photos of you hiking/camping/doing outdoor activities would be great.

  • Measurements You will need your current chest + waist measurements. Please measure with a soft measuring tape before submitting.

    • Chest: Stand up straight with your arms at your sides, then wrap a flexible tape measure around the fullest part of your chest (usually just below your armpits and across your nipples). Tape measure should be snug but not too tight.

    • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist (usually level with the belly button.) Make sure the tape is horizontal. Tape measure should be snug but not too tight.

GENERAL GUIDELINES (Please Review)

  • BACKDROP: Please choose a neutral background in a light color. It doesn’t have to be a professional backdrop (a wall is fine), but it should be free of clutter. Please avoid green + blue screens. Grey or white are best.

  • SLATE: We do not need a slate for this project. Please do not slate (i.e say your name/agency/etc) at the beginning of your takes.

  • VIDEO EDITING: None. Record separate clips for each take. Do not add any text to the videos. Do not add a title card. Do not combine clips into a single video. Recording on your cell phone is great.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
